Wendell Stroud, Owner, President
An experienced marine engineer, Wendell Stroud is co-owner of Marine Floats. He is a primary consultant on many of the firms commercial projects. Stroud has worked in marine architecture and engineering for decades. His first entrepreneurial effort was a steel fabrication company in Oregon. He went on to work in several positions in industrial construction throughout the United States. He and his wife Pauline purchased the name and equipment of Marine Floats from its founding Tenino family in 1988. Born and raised in Seattle, his family moved to Shelton when he was a teenager. He graduated from Shelton High School and attended Washington State University. He co-owns Marine Floats with his wife Pauline. They have five children and ten grandchildren. Stroud was named a Living Legend of the Working Waterfront in 2006 by the Foss Waterway Authority, in recognition of his efforts on behalf of the marine industry and the community.
Pauline B. Muir-Stroud, Owner, Vice President
Pauline B. Muir-Stroud is co-owner of Marine Floats, where, since 1988, she has overseen finance, marketing and sales, and human resources. Previously a senior executive in the financial services industry; she was a corporate officer for a Seattle securities and insurance brokerage. Licensed to sell both insurance and securities, she worked with product manufacturers to develop solutions for unique client segments and requirements. She was responsible for introducing new and innovative products to the Washington brokerage community, and for providing marketing and sales support.
Logan Brown, General Manager
Logan oversees the estimating, design, permitting, scheduling, and construction of Marine Floats projects. Logan came to Western Washington after earning a Bachelors in Construction Management from Central Washington University. He joined Marine Floats in 2010 working to obtain shoreline development permits for our clients. He has since done sales, estimating and project management. Logan has been the project manager for the two largest projects in the company’s history. He is on the advisory board of the Tacoma Waterfront Association and is a PADI certified diver. Logan now brings a straight forward and positive attitude to his position as General Manager. His combination of technical and management skills make him an asset to the company’s future.
Randy Popp, Residential Docks
Randy has developed a unique ability to help our clients make the most of their waterfront properties. He works with potential clients to explain the design, permitting, and construction processes that bring their waterfront structures to fruition. Randy is a native of Central Washington and brings with him a love of the water, boating, and fishing. When he is not designing docks, he enjoys salmon and steelhead fishing, and is an adventure and endurance motorcycle rider. Randy works throughout the state and the Puget Sound area with both fresh and saltwater clients.
